Gameplay
As the music plays, notes will fall towards the bottom of the screen. Use the number keys at the top of your keyboard to hit notes in time with the music. Try to listen to the music and feel the beat instead of just watching for the notes to reach the bottom of the screen. If you can keep the beat, your Score Multiplier will increase, and you will start to earn more and more points.
As you play along with the music, your Energy Meter (at the top of the screen) will fill up. Flashing Power Notes will help you build up energy even faster.
Once you've built up enough energy, press the Space Bar to enter Overdrive. While you are in Overdrive, all of the points you earn are doubled, and your Score Multiplier will be saved if you make any mistakes!
If you can complete an entire Overdrive without missing any notes, you will be awarded bonus points. Overdrives with more notes give bigger bonuses, so try to save your energy for the opportune time!
Missing a note will reset your Score Multiplier. If lose your place, don't panic! Sit back and listen to the beat until you find your place!
Options
Performance: Slower machines may have choppy playback while playing TREBL. If your game feels choppy or unresponsive, try changing your settings from "Quality" to "Performance."
Network: Slower internet connections may chug while streaming music, causing TREBL to sputter or pause unexpectedly. If your music keeps stopping unexpectedly, try changing your settings from "Stream" to "Preload."
Controls: By default, TREBL uses the number keys 1 through 0 at the top of your keyboard to play notes. If you would prefer to play using the middle row of your keyboard (ASDFGHJKL;), visit the options menu.
Display: If you are having trouble distinguishing notes, try turning on "Simple Colors" from the Options Menu. Using "Simple Colors" will make each note a different color, to help you tell them apart.
